Video of Tim Boyd's presentation at blavatsky lodge Sydney
For Members Only
For this event we will be screening a video recorded at Blavatsky Lodge, Sydney on 8 May 2019, as part of the international president’s lecture tour of Australia. In this video, Tim Boyd considers the four minds (loving-kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity), which are practised by most Buddhists to promote inner peace and wellbeing. Tim explores the meaning of each of these virtues, also known as the four immeasurables, or Brahma-viharas, in his typical entertaining and jovial way. The audience can expect to take away some sound and practical advice on how ‘the four minds’ can assist when on the spiritual path. A short meditation facilitated by Tim is also included.
Tim Boyd joined the Theosophical Society (TS) in America in 1974. In 1988, he became a national lecturer for the TS in America. In 2011, he was elected president of the TS in America. Since April 2014, Tim has been serving as international president of the TS Adyar. In the same year, he was also re-elected as president of the TS in America and in 2017, Tim became the president of the Theosophical Order of Service (TOS) USA.
Tim currently shares his time between the headquarters of the TS Adyar in Chennai, India and Chicago, USA where he lives with his wife, Lily and daughter, Angelique.
